Eligibility and entry requirements
Completion date: All entries will be judged for the period 1 January 2007 – 31 May 2008.
If the project is managed by several companies, the company submitting the project must inform the other companies and obtain their approval.
All entries must adhere to the regulations. The following categories are not open for entries:
Financier of the year
Retail personality of the year
How to submit an entry
All entries in the MAPIC EG Retail Awards must be submitted online. Each entry must include your full contact details and a maximum 500 words entry statement. Supporting material should be uploaded in the appropriate sections where indicated. Maximum file size for supporting files is 1MB.

Multiple entries
Each company can enter as many projects as they wish as long as they fit the criteria.
Elements to supply
The companies whose project has been selected by the MAPIC EG Retail Awards Jury will be informed of their nomination by email and may have to supply additional elements such as precise photographic documents, a brief description of their project in English and a CD-ROM of photographs of the project.
The nominees may also have to provide a video of their project, which will be displayed during the MAPIC EG Retail Awards Dinner. The organisers may edit the videos supplied for use at the Awards Dinner.
A deadline to provide these elements will be specified once the nominees have been selected.
The finalists and/or the winners hereby authorise the organisers and their representatives (and guarantees that it has been authorised to that end by possible co-creators or third parties) to record directly or indirectly the MAPIC EG Retail Awards Dinner with the presentation of the project(s) and the presentations of their company. The finalists and/or the winners also authorise the organisers to reproduce and communicate the same to the public by any means including but not limited to use on the awards website and www.mapic.com.
Accordingly, the finalists having transmitted the video(s)/image(s) of his project(s) expressly authorises the organisers to use extracts from it for the presentation of the MAPIC EG Retail Awards and for promotional purposes.
The nominees accordingly authorise the organisers Reed MIDEM and Estates Gazette to use its name and brand, if necessary, that of its representative(s) present during the MAPIC EG Retail Awards.
Information, including photographs, that are requested from the applicant/finalist are essential for entering into this competition.
The organisers are exempt from any liability for the supplied materials (for their conservation and use).
Conditions of participation
Submission to the MAPIC EG Retail Awards competition is free of charge.
Each company that is nominated for the MAPIC EG Retail Awards 2008 commits itself to having one official representative of its project present at the MAPIC EG Retail Awards Dinner, which will be held on 20th November 2008, in order to receive an Award if they win. The official representative must register for MAPIC 2008.
